The Visitors Bureau of Highland County is seeking proposals from professional photographers to create a diverse library of high-resolution images that encapsulate the essence of Highland County. This library will support our ongoing mission to attract visitors to Highland County through education, promotion and marketing of attractions and activities in the region. .

Scope of Work

The selected photographer will be responsible for:

1. Photography Duration: Capturing images over a 365-day period.

2. Subjects:  

• Landmarks: Iconic sites and historical locations throughout Highland County.  
• Annual Events: Coverage of key events and festivals that reflect the culture and community spirit of the area.  
• Lifestyle Photography: Candid shots of residents and visitors enjoying outdoor activities, local attractions, and community gatherings.

3. Deliverables:

• A minimum of 20-25 high-resolution images per season.
• Access to all images in digital format (JPEG/PNG) with appropriate licenses for use.
• A portfolio of edited and unedited photos to showcase different styles and perspectives. 

Requirements

Proposals should include:

1. Portfolio: Samples of previous work, particularly projects related to tourism, landscapes, or community events.

2. Experience: Brief overview of experience in photography, specifically in capturing landscapes, events, and people.

3. Equipment: Description of equipment to be used, ensuring quality and professionalism in all images.

4. Proposed Timeline: An outline of the proposed timeline for shoots, including flexibility for seasonal events and changes.

5. Budget: A detailed cost proposal that includes any travel expenses, editing fees, and other relevant costs.

6. Highland County Knowledge: Description of the knowledge and experience of Highland County including any familiarity with its key landmarks, culture, and community events.

Evaluation Criteria

Proposals will be evaluated based on the following criteria:

- Quality and creativity of previous work.

- Relevant experience in tourism photography.

- Proposed timeline and ability to meet deadlines.

- Cost-effectiveness and transparency of pricing.

- Highland County knowledge.
